Bayzat Alternatives for UAE Companies: What to Check Before You Switch
If you are searching for a Bayzat alternative, you are most likely a UAE company of fifteen to a hundred people that wants HR, payroll and a WPS file in one place, with a price you can see before booking a call. That is what OfficeHR is: AED 250 a month for up to fifteen employees, then AED 9 for each extra employee, billed yearly, with a 30 day free trial and no setup fee.
This page is for companies that want to compare properly. It covers why teams start looking, the five checks that matter in any HR platform, where OfficeHR fits, and how to switch without losing a pay run.
Why UAE companies look for an alternative
Four practical reasons come up again and again.
Seeing the price first. A finance manager putting a number into next year's budget wants to see it on a website, not after a sales call.
Fit to company size. A platform built to serve a wide range of company sizes can include more than a twenty five person team needs, and a price shaped by it.
A trial. A small team wants to try the system on its own people for a week or two before committing.
One bundle or several. Some companies want HR, insurance and payroll from one relationship. Others prefer to keep them separate so each can be changed independently.
None of these is a fault in any product. They are design choices that suit some buyers and not others.
Five checks before you switch
Get a straight answer on each one and you avoid almost every expensive mistake in this category.
- Does it produce a SIF file your bank accepts? Not "WPS compliant" on a feature list. Ask to see a generated SIF file for a company your size, and check it against your own bank's format. Our free WPS file checker will check any file you are given.
- How does it calculate gratuity, and can you see the working? End of service under Federal Decree Law 33 of 2021 is 21 days of basic pay per year for the first five years and 30 days after that, capped at two years of pay. Any system can print a number. You want one that shows which salary figure it used and which days it counted. You can sanity check any figure with our free gratuity calculator.
- What happens to your data if you leave? Ask for an export in a readable format before you sign anything.
- Who answers when something breaks on the 28th? Payroll problems are not next week problems. Find out whether support is in the UAE, what the hours are, and whether it is a person or a ticket queue.
- What is the real first year cost? Licence plus implementation plus any module you will need by month three. Ask for all of it in writing.
Where OfficeHR fits
We built OfficeHR for UAE companies from about fifteen people upward, and it is at its sharpest between twenty and fifty. Core HR, leave and attendance, payslips, the WPS file, hiring and performance come in one subscription.
AED 250 a month for up to fifteen employees, then AED 9 for each extra employee, billed yearly. Quarterly billing saves over 20% against monthly, and monthly billing is available at a higher rate. There is no quote only tier at any size.
Three things are worth singling out. Hiring is included rather than sold as a separate module, covering job requisitions, a reusable process builder, scored skills tests, a branded careers page and interview scheduling, on the same employee record the new joiner ends up in. Only employees on payroll count toward the price, so HR admin logins are unlimited and adding a second person to help with HR does not change the bill. And there is a runway tool that projects what a hire does to your cash before you commit, including what releasing someone would cost once gratuity, notice, accrued leave and repatriation are counted.
At thirty people the yearly price is AED 385 a month for HR, payroll, attendance and hiring together.
What OfficeHR does not do. It is a younger product with a shorter track record. There is no insurance brokerage attached, no visa or PRO service, and no live integration with accounting systems (the monthly payroll total goes across as a journal entry). It does not file Emiratisation, ILOE or anything else with MOHRE for you. If you need any of those from the same vendor as your HR system, say so early.
What switching actually costs
A weekend of work and one parallel payroll cycle, as long as you do it in the right order.
Pick a month end as your cut over point and run the old system and the new one in parallel for exactly one cycle. Export your employee list, salary records and leave balances from the current platform before you cancel anything, because getting data out after the contract ends is a different conversation. Generate a SIF file in the new system and compare it line by line against the one you actually submitted last month. If the two match, you are done. If they do not, you have found the problem in a month where it costs you nothing. Our guide on how to switch HR software without losing a month has the full sequence.
Common questions
Is OfficeHR a good fit if we are twenty five people?
Yes, that is the size it is built for. At twenty five employees the yearly price is AED 340 a month, and it includes core HR, leave and attendance, payslips, the WPS file, hiring and performance. You can try it free for 30 days on your own data.
How much does OfficeHR cost?
AED 250 a month for up to fifteen employees, then AED 9 for each extra employee, billed yearly, excluding VAT. Quarterly billing saves over 20% against monthly, and monthly is available at a higher rate. There is no setup fee and no separate fee for hiring.
Can I move my data from my current HR system?
Ask your current provider for a full export in a readable format before you give notice. Employee records, salary history and leave balances are the essentials. Do this as a first step, not a last one.
Does OfficeHR handle Emiratisation filing?
No. OfficeHR keeps your employee records and payroll in order, which helps you answer questions about your workforce, but it does not file anything with MOHRE on your behalf. Treat any vendor that says otherwise with a follow up question.
How long does a switch take?
Plan for one payroll cycle run in parallel. That is usually four weeks of low effort rather than four weeks of work.
